picked up this litte big boy a couple days ago for a mere €50 - they seem to be around quite a lot (and cheap), which is weird for a made in USA vintage amp. it is made for 240v from factory.
and let me tell you, this thing ROCKS!

i'm not really that happy any more with my other two "small" amps (70s Roland Cube 40 w/ Weber speaker, and an early/mid 70s Vox Escort 30) - they seem to lack the treble and chime of a 2-speaker amp. so i took the plunge with this Marlboro and WHOA! people, i don't wanna start a hype here, but WHOA!

it has 3 inputs: bright, normal and mellow, and they do exactly that. only treble and bass controls (no middle necessary!), you get all the cleans you want. the reverb is nice and cheesy 70s lo-fi, but i think i read that they are actually Accutronics ones.

you can select from 3 "special effects": vibrato, tremolo and echo. but geez they sure are something! :D
tremolo and vibrato are basically the same thing, only one seems to hack off the sound completely, whereas the other still leaves a bit of it in...
basically this : /\/\/\ vs. |_|-|_|-| if you get what i mean... (there's words for it but i don't know them...)

the "echo" is basically the same thing as above, but only applied to the reverb'd signal, which is actually quite a clever idea (and interesting sounding), but well, it's NOT an actual delay... hehe

the amp takes pedals very very well, hell it is basically the only amp that tolerates my "Top Gear" Fuzz and makes it sound half decent! :P

lemme see how it goes after the honeymoon, but hell for a 50 it's one hell of an amp.
PAT SEAL OF APPROVAL, i tell you!

rock on,

Pat.

(geez i realized i basically only play solid-state amps lately! --- not that there's anything wrong with that... ) :P
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.
