One of my local stores has one of these. 105 watts (6L6s) and a funky matching 8x10" cab.
It's $900 CAD/$700 USD for the pair. I have no use for it, but man does it look cool. Anyone ever use one?

That is either a great deal or the price has dropped out on those fancy looking Univox amps.
I love the sound of the Univox amps, the later models without the aesthetic can often be found for under $100 due to their choice of using a very high quality but short lived capacitor type throughout, but they only cost about $30 in parts and a couple hours time to get fixed up. The reverb and tremolo on these are are probably the most intense in any amp, and the single knob tone control they used is surprising, a very clever design. It does not work very well on the fx channel though, the trem/reverb circuits load it down to much but the reverb is thick enough to remedy that.
I have been toying with a lower powered design based on those big Univox off and on for a few years now, someday I will get those last few details figured out and build it.

Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

That thing looks like it was put on this planet to electrocute me.
Also, I’m distracted by the Traynor right next to it.
I bet it sounds rad though!

Yes, one of the perks of being Canadian is the widespread availability of dirt-cheap vintage Traynors!garyfanclub wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 3:22 amThat thing looks like it was put on this planet to electrocute me.

Well, I recently acquired a Fractal AX8 on top of my Kemper Profiler, so I've doubled down on the opposite philosophy from this massive 105W billion-pound amp. It's lightweight sound reinforcement with digital patches set up tweaked for each individual guitar I own. I'm happy with the portability and tone I get, but I admit it'd be fun to crank the heck out of that bizarre-looking stack.
Don't ask me why my taste in guitars is simple and vintage, but my taste in amps is modern FRFR.

Oh, wasn't some dipshit trying to sell Jeff Beck's actual one recently for $2,000,000 or something like that? I think someone posted a link to it on here a while back.
