Yes, they only put that 'drip rail' around the edge of the grille in 1968, so it is the easiest year to date.
They used drip edge in 1968-9, but the black line was only 1968, more or less first half of the year.
I had a bronco amp of the same era and a late 70s vibro champ. The bronco was noticeably lighter.

Safety first when on the way home to daddy.

Renovated and ready to go. Original tubes still with a lot of life in them, according to super tech guy Kalle at www.dirtyamps.com :)

Dec '67-June '68 is the most likely (99%) window for that amp

Tried it yesterday and it sounds great. Breaks up at 7-8 and before that it’s clean and almost hum free. I like it the most with my JMJM, then my Musicmaster with a Curtis Novak lipstick. The CV Duo sonic sounded alright but kinda microphonic and the Jaguar with dragsterbuckers came last because it was kinda muddy.

But what an awesome little amp that is. Tremolo is great

Awesome. Congratulations on a classic (with my favorite aesthetics). If you want a little reverb, the Vanamps Solemate works really well (and the auxiliary switch for the tremolo is so simple and clever)
