For reference the MD is based largely off the Dark Terror, in turn based off the Thunderverb series(IIRC).
Basically i have this little amp and I loved it to be bits at first. It's got so much power to it, it can deliver both classic Orange and more modern metal tones through it's little 8' cab, but obviously in a sort of garage punk lofi kinda way.
I've gotten out of playing guitar and I'm looking for something that'll work with the voicing of the Amp that's cheap and affordable(so probably not a full size PPC). Either a 12", or a decent 10" I could chain with the 8" speaker(since I like the voicing aside from the lack of low end). I don't play in a band so I don't need it to be super loud, but I guess it would be handy to have a sensitive speaker than can hang dirty cleans with a band just in case.
Any suggestions? Bonus if it's €100 or under. Also will consider cheap amps who's speaker I can hijack.
Cheap cab for Orange Micro Dark?

Re: Cheap cab for Orange Micro Dark?
If you have a decent used market in your area, I think whatever comes along that seems like a deal would do you right. For instance, a 1x15 cab could sound amazing---depending a lot on what tones you had in mind.
I have a Blackstar HT-1 Metal combo with an 8" speaker, and to me it's the kind of amp that I always think sounds pretty great until I A/B it with my other "real" amps. It loses, no contest. But at this price point and size, just thinking it sounds good (without an A/B test) is still pretty good I think. Anyway, I was very pleasantly surprised by how GREAT it also sounds through a 15" bass speaker I have.
If cost is a major issue, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bass cab out there that could pair surprisingly well with your 8" cab.

I have a micro dark. I picked up the laney cub cab from musicians friend on one of their 25% off deals and ive been pretty happy with it. It was like $150. I'm really only using it for cleans. If you're in a heavier band I would suggest 4x10 instead of 2x12. Don't let the size fool you - micro dark sounds great through a big cab.
I would use either a 2x12 or a 4x10. I would avoid using a cab with a single speaker. It's just going to sound boxy. Don't use the awful cab it "comes with" under any circumstancws.

Not in a band rn, just bedroom jamming! If I end up gigging it'll be small venues likely without a drummer.

Was just playing it earlier, it sounds amazing even through the 8" cab. I honestly think a 10"cab, paired with the 8, would be enough.
