The ECC 808 to be seen in one of the pictures, is it your design, or did the amp come modded that way?

Thank you! I´m all to happy that these threads of mine is appreciated. As you´ve figured i´m not all that much of one of them "secret" builders that sweeps everything in sight with goop and what not.

No. That 808 was just stuffed in there as i got it. The ECC-808 is an absolutely WONDERFUL tube though and i´ve got a stash of approx 20 or so in a bag.Need to get around to fab a converter to be able to test them on my U-Tracer one of these days.
I´ve worked my fair share with them tho and they indeed ARE all that. Just..expensive like hell,sry to say. The one tube that stack up,IMO,is actually the russian made 6n2pEV. It HAS to be the EV type and up though. The regular 6n2p does not measure up. The EV type (mil spec) does though and they come real cheap to boot.
You just have to be anal about their specs as you buy them from russia. They´re normally available bulk on Ucranian ebay for instance. Ditto for the russian EF-86 equvialent. Also really great tubes and come with a tag you won´t believe seing what regular EF-86´s run these days.

Promised a vid of this thing way back,and sry to say that vid still hasn´t been recorded.
Here´s the drill. Approx a month back i injured my back. Bad. To the point where i simply can´t work and thus ain´t all that much at the shop for the time being. Hell,for a while there i weren´t even able to walk.
Truth be told it´s at the level where i consume morphine pills like they were coming out of a PEZ dispenser,waiting for an MR.
Yeah. It´s kind of uphill at the moment boys.
In short it´s been better.
