NAD 1972 PR !!!
Hey, I'm late with posting a NAD. It's been a couple of weeks already (I'm more than busy these days )
An older gentleman advertised it locally and I made him a fair offer, obviously the fairest offer
The non US based guys around here will notice that red switch which is the indicator for something really rare to come by .
I guess the 2 button vib/rev switch is not period correct but it's cool ( although it looks like something left over from WWII
And I bought a cover for it (btw: the new Fender amp covers are really cool)

Re: NAD
so guess what's under the tail logo cover....
.... a tail logo...
So it's an 1972 PR. I had to get it because it's a) nearly impossible to find any 60s to early 70s Amp in the export version b) to find one in such a good shape.... from 1972
The only thing that got messed with at some point is the baffle for the speaker. it obviously got a 12" speaker installed at some point w/o getting the speaker hole enlarged (at least).
Glad that the previous owner changed his mind and put the original speaker back in. So the speaker screws are not original anymore but all cool as it is...
And I guess the 2 button switch is an older (60's blackface) one ... also fine.

The best amp I have ever played was an early SF DR from a friend. No way to find one around here for a reasonable price.StevenO wrote:Welcome to Tonzville, my friend.
The princeton is equally good in a ...same league ... but a different beast. Actually... this amp almost sounds too good, I almost feel guilty to play it. I mean seriously

Yeah, you are in flavor-country now! Enjoy it and remember that it's definitely not "too" good if you're able to notice how good it is. You're just ready to appreciate it.

The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

That looks nice. Is the adjustable voltage factory original?

Nicely done!
One of, if not the greatest amp of all time.
I also have a 72 btw! US domestic of course.
Interesting tidbit...my faceplate says "Princeton Reverb-Amp". (Always wondered why they needed to label that it was an amp.)
