My Oranges, my Mesa, and my Silvertone that I have downstairs are excellent amps, but I notice some guitars I have sound better to me in one amp or the other. With the Princeton, I haven't found a guitar that sounds bad through it. I don't even have to adjust the tone on the amp with my different pickup guitars. Just volume going from single coil to humbucker and such. It is a really good amp. :)

Sorry to resurrect the thread, but this is currently my dream setup StevenO - a quick question, are you just linking them via the inputs (guitar in at input 1 on the Brownface, out of input 2 into input 1 of the Silverface) are have you got a splitter tucked behind the amps? If they're linked, are the channels in phase?

Thanks!

For that picture, I think I was just running them via their inputs (guitar > input a of amp 1, input b to input a of amp 2). I thiiiink they're more of less in phase. I never gig anymore, so I don't really get to play this way too much. Souns great, for sure, but then again... Both amps sound great on their own, as well.

:)

As for switching, I do have a Boss Line Selector pedal, but I've actually never used it to switch outputs, only inputs. Probably works great for that too.

I have the same setup. ;)

I agree, they're more or less in phase when chained form the inputs iirc. I usually run them in "stereo" from either a boss tuner or my DMM though.
