Who's rocking an Orange amp here?

For a number of years, I've leaned toward British amps, and mostly use the combination of Marshall + (Jag/Mustang/JM), usually a JCM800. I've been getting more and more curious about the modern (non-tiny-terror) Orange amps though, as they seem to share some of the characteristic midrange bump with Marshalls (which I find essential for cutting through a mix), but are otherwise distinct-sounding.

Who here uses a Rockerverb/AD30/other Orange amp, and what drew you to it? Trying to expand my horizons beyond Marshall land, and figured I'd seek experience from people who have rehearsed/gigged/recorded with these amps, which is a much more useful test than an hour of however loud a music store lets me get 8)

My stepson has a Crush Pro 120H and let me tell you that thing is legit. It's got that big fat fuzzy girthy Orange tone. It's legit. I couldn't believe it when he first plugged it in. The only thing that's kind of a drag is the digital reverb, but at that price how can you complain?

I had a rocker 30 head for a short while and kind of miss it. I got it because there actually aren't many no-frills, 30 watt amps out there that don't run on an armful of el84s. I also had a dual terror shortly prior to the rocker and it fulfilled a very different role what with all the power scaling options.

I also like the CR120. The Rocker is also really nice. :D

I have as AD15/12. It doesn't see as much rocking as it deserves, but rock it does.

I have a Orange Tiny Terror (hard-wired edition) with a 4x10 cab. I really like it. I like simple amps. I use to play it in a punk rock band, but since I quit the band, it doesnt get used much. I could sell it, but since it's a special edition, I think I should keep it a while. I never know when I would need a rock amp again.

Sounds like they're pretty well-appreciated around here. I think I'll give some a try.

I have a TH-30 that I really enjoy. The gain channel is nice but I really like the clean channel (almost Fendery cleans). The clean channel also takes pedals really well, so if I want to push the amp I usually just do it with overdrives/fuzzes. The ability to run it at 30/15/7watts is really useful too.

What kind of speaker are you running it through? I've never heard a British EL84-powered head that sounded like it had Fendery cleans to me, but usually I play them through a V30 which really accentuates their midrange bump.

I've been playing it through an Orange 1x12 lately & at pretty low volume. I also dialed up the treble & lowered the bass like I do on my VibroChamp. I've seen others compare the cleans on a TH30 to a Bassman.

That's pretty cool. There seems to be a lot more variety to the modern Orange lineup than there is to the Marshall or Vox one. I tried a Dual Terror, a Rockerverb and an AD30 at a shop and all 3 sounded dramatically different, in terms of both their clean tones and their dirty ones. I'll have to check out the TH-30!

I have an AD30. Great company, great amps, and the one time I had to deal with their support serivce they went above and beyond.
