Picked up an older PPC-412 today; it has the UK-made V30s in it. A great match for the OR50

Can't speak to too much of the other models, but the TH100 amp has become a bit of an enemy. The rehearsal spaces all around Toronto have those but man, there's barely a workable sound in them.

I own/have owned the following:
tiny terror: great amp with a solid body guitar, but not enough volume to play live or in a band and too loud to play at home
or15: meh clean, amazing high gain, nothing in between. i've hear better tubes help but i sold it before i got the chance.
ad30 single channel. my desert island amp. just perfect in every way.
rocker 30: my 3rd backup desert island amp. favorite cleans of any orange.
or120 (pics only): all ur d00m are belong to us
ad140: amazing british toan. backup desert island amp. can roar.
or100: pretty bland, sounded too modern for my taste

Re: Who's rocking an Orange amp here?
True if you match the Tiny Terror with a PPC112 cab, but with diffirent cab, it can be loud enough for a band, or quiet enough for home. I played a Tiny Terror with a ppc410 in a punk rock band and it was loud enough. For home, I play my TT thru the ppc8 Micro cab (it's not the best sound out there but it works).
Now, I play a Rocker 15 in a Indie Rock band and it's also loud enough (but we dont play very loud).

Re: Who's rocking an Orange amp here?
I have a couple of those cabs (and a '70s 4x12 and a 2003 PPC212) and they are great. I've found that both my Oranges and my Green Matamp sound best through Orange cabs. The lowend seems to hold together better than a Marshall or Fender cab. Most of mine are loaded with V30s except for the '70s cab having a pair of Greenbacks and a couple Webers of one type or another.
I have a tiny little Orange AD5 which I've owned for about ten years now. It's a great little amp! I use it all the time.

The orange cabs have a bit more air volume inside than a Marshall cab. They're a little deeper.
This changes the tuning of the system considerably.

Re: Who's rocking an Orange amp here?
I owned an OR15 and matching 1x12 cab for a little while. I loved the way it looked and sounded on it's own for dirt, but coming from a long history of fenders I kept getting bummed out that it made pretty much all of my pedals sound weird or bad, even set pretty clean. Still miss it sometimes though. If I find the magic formula of one too many beers + a cheap late night reverb price, I may end up with one again.
Also, I've read some mixed reviews on the AD5, but such is the internet. Would love to hear more about that dude, seems like a fun little amp.

Very glued and greasy reverb sound

I’m using an Orange Terror Bass 1000 amp through a Barefaced Super Midget 112 Bass cab. 1000 Watts is a bit much but it actually sounds pretty good.
I usually use this setup for bass.

Re: Who's rocking an Orange amp here?
I have an OD120 I play it through a 1x15 cab that I build out of 3/4 inch birch. It is the size of the 2x12 Orange cabs (wrapped in fawn)
I have played this thing with 2x15 Fender Bassman, Marshall 4x12, Avatar 4x10, and Acoustic 1x15. It is a beast and is great with both bass and guitar.

Re: Who's rocking an Orange amp here?
Love my OR50 and PPC212 (got a Heritage G12H 55Hz and an Alnico Gold in it currently as the V30s took it to a a more metally/doomy place that limited it's potential uses to my ears):
With the HF Drive up it starts getting a (to my ears) almost top boost-y quality and will cop a very muscular version of Vox chime/jangle/crunch. I don't find a lot of Marshall kerang in it, but then again I've been too happy w/ the Orange-y/Vox-y sounds to go looking too extensively. It'll sludge too if you want it to, and it was actually working great as the driven side of my bass biamp setup too before I got an OB1-500.
