'65 DR Vibrato
The vibrato on my 1965 deluxe reverb has been slowly degrading over the last few years to the point that it barely works. Do you have any experience working on these? Worth it to try the DIY approach, or save the headache and seek professional help from the start? Thanks!

The quick 'n' dirty diagnosis:
If you eyeball your tube chart, V3 is a 12AX7. Leo designed your amp with a couple 7025 tubes, the 12AX7 and a couple 12AT7s in the preamp. The 12AX7 is entirely dedicated to the trem circuit. The 7025 tubes are supposedly high quality / low noise 12AX7s. So... try this.
Pull one of the 7025s. It's common to pull V1 and disable the normal channel. Take it one step further. Temporarily swap the 7025 from the unused normal channel for your 12AX7.
Does your trem work better?
If not, no worries. Try the other 7025 tube.
If your trem is still weak you might have to dig deeper.
