Ragin Cajun, because it's so loud that my Princeton Reverb can compete with a Marshall half-stack. It also sound great with effect.

I'm a big fan of ceramic Webers in my PR. Currently I have a Weber 10F150-T. Its 25w with an un-doped cone. It's breaking in very nicely, although sounded great out of the box. Totally loud enough to gig, but still sweet and articulate at home and in quieter environments.

I also loved a used 50w Weber 10F150 (non-T) in that amp. It was big and round and pretty similar my current Weber. Just BIGGER all around.

I have the original Oxford ceramic that came with the amp but it has a blown voice coil. I would love to get that remedied.

I have those in my Vibrolux and I really like them. It's probably a better choice for Princeton Reverb, but I really like how the Ragin Cajun change the amp. It's not a Princeton Reverb anymore when you put a RC in it, it's something else.

I've heard those highly regarded. Supposed to be good if you want to really beef things up.

I like the Greenback 10" in the new 68RI. Was pretty suprised. I always had a little prejudice that Celestions were for-British-amps-only!

I have have a 10" greenback in my Princeton Reverb now since I dont play with it in a band anymore and the Ragin Cajun is just too loud for home use. The 10" greenback is great and it really smooth our the PRRI. Great for soft music like jazz.

The 68Ri dont have a greenback but a much cheaper Celestion Ten-30 speaker (maybe some FSR have greenback).

Interesting! I did like the sound of the stock 68 in the shop with a Jaguar. I don't know that I've ever heard Jazz and Greenback in the same sentence. Definitely piques my interest!

You're lucky to have that. They're sooooo expensive on the used market. I see a vintage C10N, C10Q and 10CNS all the time for like $200-300!

I hesitated to chime in because I was pretty certain it was too pricey to be included in this thread. I haven't checked to see what they go for these days, but that sounds about right. I have to say though, if you find one that is within your budget, it's definitely worth the money. I can't get over how good it sounds.

It totally fits this thread. Your favorite PR speaker can be anything. I just wanted to know what people use and why. I'm definitely keen to find an old speaker some day. Be it a Jensen or even a replacement period correct Oxford for my '72. I play at home these days so I don't really need something that can withstand high volumes and the rigors of life on the road.

I have an unmarked Eminence 50w speaker in my SFPR. Sounds good and is noticeably louder and clearer than stock.

I don't have a favorite but I have the Oxford that was in the PR when I got.

It is interesting to hear of the alternatives.
