Vox AC15H1TV 50th Anniversary vs. AC15HW1X
We are talking EF86 pentode preamp tube (50th Anni) vs 12AX7 (HW1X). Anybody ever hear them A/B'd? Which is your fave of the two?

You got me curious. Are there other differences other than that Tube & maybe some cosmetics?
I really like my AC15CC1X with Blue & I'd like another AC15. This time an HW with Blue.

i've never compared them, but my 50th has both EF86 and 12AX7 top boost.
i almost always use the EF86 channel for it's thicker tone. and i very often blend in a bit of the top boost for some more bite.
