Vibro champ modified

Post by DesmondWafers » Mon Jan 30, 2017 12:23 pm

I was looking at a vibro champ on guitar center's website. Normally I hate GC, but every once in a while a great deal slips through on the used section. There was a vibro champ for $300 but...

What in the hell is that? That's not worth $300, right?

Good condition silverface VCs go for twice that around here. No way I would buy it without inspecting/playing in person though. Could make for a cool re-housing or just make/buy a new baffle and 8".

As much as the speakers bother me (why why why), the added output on the back worries me more.

No idea what that's about either or why it would warrant a "caution" sticker. GC probably paid someone $50 for that and it's unlikely they have any idea either. If you're worried about it pass.

Not great but not too bad of a deal. Easy to bring back to stock. I kinda like the 2 speaker setup.

Some 10" speakers will fit, too.

Mojotone does a 12" cabinet too. There may be others.
