I finally finish building a guitar, go to play it, and then remember, "oh yeah, that's right. I suck at playing... Why did I build another guitar again?"

Hey you don't know jack. I have a white class 5 with the old plexi logo. It has a metal jack. Change the tubes on the amp. I put in a NOS power tube and preamp tube...changes everything on that beast. Also, it pushes a nice 12 inch speaker in a cabinet...I was getting some really nice 70's rock tones..

They probably use plastic jacks throughout so that they can ensure there is only one earth connection to the chassis to avoid loops.
