Re: Trading a Twin Reverb and Champ for a Deluxe
I somehow wound up with two (and my wife has a PA100, so we basically had three), and was convinced I wouldn't have the space for it where we were moving, or on the truck... whoops. Should've kept it.shoule79 wrote:Ditto when I sold my 69 sftr. If it hadn't been for the fact that it was big and I couldn't justify using it anymore i'd have just kept it.noisepunk wrote:I had to take a bit of a hit on the last one I sold (granted, I was moving)- people just aren't into big amps right now.OffYourFace wrote:I have two vintage Twin Reverbs. Great sounding amps, just not very practical.

Unfortunately no.JCH519 wrote:68 original?
Speakers are EV Force (I think the originals are the JBLs, right?), and got it retubbed and recapped like a year ago.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I spent some time looking at the few SF fender amps on my local and surrounding CLs and I don't think I'll get a Deluxe Reverb for the same price I could sell my two amps haha. So... it's either a Reissue, patiently wait for a good deal or just keeping my amps (more likely solution).
Princeton, Vibrolux and Pro... I don't know, I like the idea of a 1x12 Fender amp.

Re: Trading a Twin Reverb and Champ for a Deluxe
My (up until a week or so ago) Twin came with EV 12L speakers (not original, I assume). If the Force ones are anything like those, it'll be one of the best clean sounds out there. (And one of the heaviest combos, too. Too heavy for my aging indie rock back, though, so I replaced them with Jensen neo 12-100s. Sounded good but never the same, sadly).
I'd suggest keeping your amps instead of getting rid of them for a reissue. Stay patient and save up some money for the Deluxe fund, so that you're ready with the cash if a deal ever does materialize. (And then repay the account by selling whatever stuff you feel is no longer needed).
In the meantime, you can also run the Champ through the Twin speakers for a little variety.
