Not the bass amp I used to have, it broke down constantly. It was solid in the sense that it weighed a ton though, I'll give it that. Unfortunately it sounded dreadful.

Man I hated that thing .. I've never been able to muster interest in a Peavey since then although I'm sure there are many good models. I'm generally pretty open-minded where gear and music is concerned but there is a short list of stuff I don't do and Peavey is on it.

Nice score! I love Peavey amps. I've never owned one, but I've played through quite a few tube models. My ex-bandmates and rodies all onwned Peavey amps, and they were reliable and sounded pretty good!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! I was a little concerned not knowing too much about the amp but it sounds great and it's clear I've made a good investment.  Does anyone know a site with the instruction manual for this amp? Also in order to utilize both of the speakers I need to send 2 inputs through.  Does anybody have any pedal recommendations to make this happen?  I'm not totally opposed to a stereo delay, but I really like my Carbon Copy and can't really justify having two delays right now, so that would have have to go.

Strange, I've seen a lot more broken ones (ok, not completely) from that era, I'm not even sure I've seen a fully working one.

You sure you need to use both inputs?

Pretty sure yeah, its strange.  My roommate is into SHREDD and he has one of those Petrucci models where it has a standard 1/4 for the PUPs and a 1/4 for peizo. He plugged it in to both inputs and it sounds SOO full.  Maybe theres a way around that but, with all my experimenting, I havn't found it yet..

Thanks Offyourface,  google wasn't giving me too much help.

EDIT;
So I read the manual and apparently, one can switch between Mono and Stereo Mode with the help of a foot switch.  Since I don't have said foot switch, does anyone have any ideas?  The foot switch is one of those antiquated 7 pin ones.

Contact peavey, I had an old old peavey amp. They said it was one of the fisrt they made by the serrial #. I wanted to get a footswitch for the trem/reverb. They said even though they hadn't in years that they would make one. Unfortunatly IICR the switch would have cost nearly what I'd paid for the amp (which wasn't mutch) but I think it's cool that they would actually make one.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

And hey, Robert Quine used a Peavey Bandit with Lou Reed and it didn't hurt his sound a bit.
Agreed! One of my first amps was an old Peavey Pacer. Surprisingly nice (but sadly long-gone).

there might be a random peavey footswitch at the local depressing record store.  (or there was).  I can run by there in the next couple of days to check.  I think it was around $20-30.

till then, maybe use a splitter?

$20-$30 for a Peavey footswitch? Sounds like a rip off.

Cestlamort, please check to see if it is a 7 prong whenever you make your way back there.  A pic or 2 would be great also.
I would definitely reimburse you via paypal and be forever in your your debt, especially since the Peavey making me a new one route seems to be the depressingly expensive option.
PM me with info if you get a chance.
