I had an AC15CC1 for about a minute. The Wharfdales Spkrs sounded awful! I can see why you got rid of it!

I got an AC15CC1X with the Alnico Blue & it was day & night a different Amp. I still have it & it sounds great. The Top Boost makes for great breakup at controlled volumes. Xlnt Reverb & Tremelo. The Blue sounds magic! Perfect for most all situations & Guitars.

I like my 65 Reissue Princeton Reverb too. I got lucky I guess because it sounded great right out of the box. I was planning on Spkr upgrades etc but it doesn't need anything. Sounds great as is. Wish I could say that about my 65 DRRI. it's good but I'm not in love with the sound of the Spkr. That would be too big for your needs anyhow.

If you can find a Gibson ga-15rv or à Trace Elliott Velocette 12r (exactly same amps) for cheap, they are really sweet amps.

The blues jr is a great apartment amp (too loud even) and completely giggable (you can mic everywhere today). Mine has a jensen speaker though, and it sounds great.

I think Blues Juniors are really cool useable amps, but Princetons are one of the greatest sounding amps of all time. I had a Blues, Pro Jr, a couple DRRIs but every time I try a Princeton in a store theres something extra in there that makes me think it's probably the nicest sounding amp I've ever heard (that and the Trace Elliot Velocette was an amp that knocked me over with how it sounded, I still remember playing one in a store about 15 years ago...I believe they had transformer issues though and would catch on fire). I have a AC15 right now (the newish kind with the Greenback in it) which is great for jangly brit rockish kinda stuff, a little bit stuff and doesn't have the juiciness of a lot of the 6V6 amps.
